About the athlete

Lucy Turner

Team GB Heptathlete

Lucy grew up in Hebburn. She always loved playing sports and being active and often attended summer camps where she could try different sports. Lucy loved all sports and was worried that when she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes she would not be able to continue taking part in the sports she loved. Lucy has competed in a range of events in the UK and abroad and her goal is to compete at the Commonwealth Games, European and World Championships and Olympic Games.
