The Sports for Schools programme is the Social Enterprise arm of- and operated by- Sportivater Limited. Your school has retained Sports for Schools to help organise an inspiring event to support greater physical activity which will be lead by an elite athlete to help raise funds for your school. Funds raised will all go to your school (Gedney Church End Primary Academy) to support greater physical activity.
Sports for Schools’ mission is to inspire children to be more physically active, resilient and to lead healthy lives, and to support elite athletes whether current, in transition or retired to inspire the next generation. Your school will pay Sports for Schools to cover the costs of the event, to support athletes financially, and to enable it to continue to advance its physical fitness-mission and activities in two elements: firstly, a fee per pupil participating in the fitness circuit event of £3.00, £2.00, £1.50 and £1.00 respectively for schools up to 79 pupils, of 80-149 pupils, of 150-349 pupils, and of 350+ pupils.
If insufficient funds are raised to cover this participation fee, as a social enterprise Sports for Schools will cover any shortfall in its costs out of its own resources – your school is not left out of pocket. Sports for Schools never turns down a school that wishes to run an event even when there is little expectation of a fee being paid by the school.
Of the funds raised on top of the participation fee, Gedney Church End Primary Academy will retain 60% in the form of a voucher to spend on activities or equipment to promote physical activity and 40% will go to Sports for Schools. To date, Sports for Schools has helped schools raise over £5,000,000 to promote physical activity and inspire over 2.5 million children.
