About the athlete

Victoria Ohuruogu

GB Sprinter

Victoria’s childhood was a lively mix of outdoor fun with her siblings. A chance encounter at a local park's running event led to a pivotal moment for Victoria - her old primary teacher, a coach, spotted her potential. From there, Victoria’s journey soared: qualifying for the Youth Olympics in 2010 before moving to the senior circuit at IAAF World Relays in 2014 and stealing the title of European U23 champion with a Gold medal in 4x400m. In 2021, Ohuruogu became England Champion with a new 400m PB. This year at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Victoria not only ran in the women's 400m, but took home a Bronze Olympic medal and set a national record in the women's 4x400m relay! Victoria’s story is a vibrant testament to seizing opportunities and chasing dreams.
