About the athlete

Kelly Simm

GB Gymnast

From a six-year-old at her local gym to a world-class gymnast, Kelly's journey is one of dedication and determination, thanks to her "never give up" mentality. A member of the GB team for over 10 years, Kelly has mastered the skills that most only dream of. Early in her career, Kelly was the first gymnast to be crowned World University Champion and helped guide Great Britain to a historic Bronze medal at the World Championships, which remains the only time in history Great Britain have won a World Team medal. Competing in three Commonwealth Games for Team England, she won Gold in 2014, and Silver and Bronze in 2018. Kelly's story is one of perseverance, passion, and podium finishes.
