The purpose of the campaign:
The Sports for Schools programme is a Social Enterprise operated by Sportivater Limited. Your school has retained Sports for Schools to help organise an inspiring event which will be led by an elite athlete to help raise funds for your school to support greater physical activity.
Sports for Schools’ mission is to inspire children to be more physically active, resilient and lead healthy lives, and to support elite athletes to train and inspire the next generation.
How your school will pay Sports for Schools:
The average cost to schools of running the Sports for Schools programme is £2.97 per pupil taking part (calculations based on all events run between 2014 and 2023). This money enables Sports for Schools to administer the programme, support athletes financially and allows it to continue to advance its physical fitness mission and activities. Sports for Schools will be paid in two elements: firstly, a fee per pupil participating in the fitness circuit: 50-79 pupils £3.00 per pupil, 80-149 pupils £2.00 per pupil, 150- 349 pupils £1.50 per pupil, 350+ £1.00 per pupil. If insufficient funds are raised to cover this participation fee, as a social enterprise Sports for Schools will cover any shortfall out of its own resources – your school is never left out of pocket. Sports for Schools never turns down a school that wishes to run an event even when there is little expectation of a fee being received. To calculate the second part of the fee, a “Remainder” is calculated by taking the total of participation fees from the total funds raised; 60% of any such Remainder will go to your school in the form of a voucher to spend on activities, services or equipment to promote physical activity and 40% will go to Sports for Schools. Your school will purchase their voucher from Sports for Schools, and Sports for Schools will purchase such vouchers from its partners at a lower wholesale price.
